Explore a curated list of publicly accessible data portals that provide a single point of access to health statistics and information from various sources.
The NIJZ Statistical Office can prepare aggregated data from various health databases or assist you with data interpretation.
The health datasets accessible to researchers and data holders contain individual-level health records. Although these records are anonymised or pseudonymised, they remain strictly confidential and may only be used for statistical purposes.
Consequently, researchers must first submit a data access application specifying the intended use of the data. At HDAB, we review these applications to ensure compliance before granting or denying access. You can read more about the application process here.
On our data portals, where information is open and publicly accessible, only population-level health statistics are published. These statistical portals showcase key public health indicators for Slovenia.
We regularly host workshops, presentations, and training sessions on using the health data catalogue, the application process, and working within our secure environment.
